The Double Tap List: The Best of #Cider on Instagram (August 4–10)

It’s that time of the week again, #cider friends, when we celebrate the one day we have been working all week to get to: It’s Friday! It has been a hot and humid week for many of us, but nothing is going to keep us from living it up #ciderstyle the rest of this grand weekend.

We are celebrating the end of the workweek with a brand-new version of The Double Tap List, our curated roundup of the most notable and like-worthy cider content that we’ve discovered on Instagram over the past seven days. Get ready for an amped-up weekend with lots of events, including jam festivals, benefits, and cider weeks!

Check out some of our favorite ‘grams from August 4-10:

Horse & Plow Winery

We are in the midst of the inaugural Sonoma County Cider Week, and the week-long celebration started off with some great events. Horse & Plow, located in Sebastopol, California, kicked off the week with a collaboration cider. To commemorate, this year’s Gravenstein Apple Fair, Horse & Plow Winery joined forces with Tilted Shed Ciderworks to create their playfully named “Tilted Plow.”  Only 25 cases were produced, so don’t waste time trying to get your hands on a bottle! The Gravenstein Apple Fair will be Sonoma County Cider Week’s grand finale, featuring a Cider Tent and an Artisan Tasting Lounge.  Click here for more great events that the rest of this week has to offer.

TinCap Cider

Ohio’s TinCap Cider is bringing the flavor of South America to its taproom this weekend. La Pampa Mobile Grill will be 0n site Saturday, August 11th, serving up some of their delicious Argentinian fare. La Pampa sources all of their meat, produce and bread from local family-run farms and farmers markets to help support the local economy and offer fresh, quality food in their traditional style. Choose a bite to eat from the locally sourced seasonal menu as you sip on TinCap’s Jack’s Mad Mango, a cider that starts off sweet but really brings the heat at the end, thanks to the tasty infusion of chili peppers! Come on out this Saturday night, from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., for some good old-fashioned fun.

Mad Moon Craft Cidery

It’s Friday, so what does that mean? It’s Doggie Day at Mad Moon Craft Cidery in Columbus, Ohio! Join in on the fun on Friday, August 10th, from 4:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m., to help support the adorable and adoptable pups at Rescued Ohio. Mad Moon will donate $1 from each glass and $2 from each cider flight to the rescue. Adoptable pups from the rescue will also be at the event showing off their cuteness for the patrons, so get ready to fall in love! Mad Moon will also have a very special cider on tap, a blueberry, in memory of their dog, Jinx. Guests are welcome to bring their own puppies, as well! Who knows, maybe you’ll be going home with a second fuzzy bestie…?
