The Double Tap List: The Best of #Cider on Instagram (Jan. 13–19)

It is finally Friday, my fellow #ciderlovers! Who’s excited for the weekend? I know I am!

The arrival of Friday means it’s time for a new version of The Double Tap List, our round up of the most notable and like-worthy cider content on Instagram. The #ciderworld was full of activity this week, with chilly weather, funny memes and pasta! (Yes, pasta is news.)

Check out some of our favorites from January 13–19:

Twin Island Cider

I tried to make my own tortellini once. It did not look like that. This is why I leave that to the pros, ladies and gentlemen. So, if you are having a hankering for great pasta and you need a complimentary cider to pair with your dish, look no further than Twin Island Cider. Located in Pender Island, British Columbia, Twin Island Cider is a farm-based cidery specializing in natural fermentation using heirloom variety apples and pears hand-picked from its island farm! It’s currently closed for the season, but sign up for its newsletter to get updates on their spring reopening. In the meantime, check out the Twin Island Cider website to find out where you can locate its products!

Fig Leaf Brewing Co.

I’ve got 99 problems, but a peach ain’t one! I love that cider name. I also really love when cideries and breweries create experimental batches, and this specific cider sounds delicious! Fig Leaf Brewing Co., in Middletown, OH, is testing out some new flavors in its taproom and nothing will get you out of your winter funk faster than the flavors of spring. Check out its website for taproom hours and, if you get to try it, let us know what you think of this new cider batch!

I know what you are all about to say! Once you stop laughing, you will say: “Hey, wait a second! Sam threw in a wine post! That’s not cider!” Listen, I’m already five steps ahead of you on this one. Spicer’s Winery offers great hard ciders, too. Stop in to its tasting room to sample the Reserve Hard Cider. Or, if you are feeling up for some spice, a Hot Shot Cinnamon Hard Cider might quench your thirst. See here to peruse Spicer’s Winery’s full selection.

The Cider Farm

Reason #55 to have a cider tonight: You had to deal with people today. Fair enough, I won’t argue with that. The Cider Farm may not 100% agree with the caption, but they can’t deny that this is pretty funny. What we can agree on is that The Cider Farm produces great cider! Located in Mineral Point, Wisconsin, The Cider Farm has been producing quality cider and brandy since 2003. Want to know where you can get its cider on draft? Their website gives you the full list of locations in and around Wisconsin.

Ironwood Hard Cider

The bitter cold has set in and nothing sounds more inviting than getting cozy with some of your closest friends — or cider and perry. You can snuggle with them, too! Don’t know which brand to choose? Try Ironwood Hard Cider‘s Original, its flagship dry cider or Poached Perry, a 100% pear cider full of warming spices like cloves, nutmeg, ginger and cinnamon.

BONUS!!

I know it says beer, but this is still funny! Tell anyone that says you need to cut down on your cider and tater tot intake to step off! Post via @kasiapebe.

I drink to forget … The invisible hand?? What invisible hand? And, if were up to me, that one card would say wasps, not bees. Thanks, @original13ciderworks!
