It is finally Friday, friends! I would just like to congratulate you for trudging through five long days of days of the grind to get to this epic moment: THE WEEKEND! I hope you all have some amazing moments planned for the next two days. If not, maybe some of the events below will give you some inspiration.

Let’s celebrate the end of another week with a brand-new version of The Double Tap List, our weekly roundup of the most notable and like-worthy cider content that we discovered on Instagram in the past seven days. It’s been busy, busy this week in the #ciderworld, including cider events for Silicon Valley Beer Week, top-10 lists and cider swag.

Silicon Valley Beer Week is upon us, so prepare yourself for some cider tap takeovers in the near future! Starting on Saturday, July 21, The Cider Junction has a list of special takeovers for its guests to enjoy. Far West Cider Co. will be featured on Saturday, followed by Mission Trail Cider Company and some of its barrel-aged concoctions. Keep up with The Cider Junction’s Instagram page for more events and updates. For more on Silicon Valley Beer Week, see here.

South City Cider

Silicon Valley Beer Week fun continues with a special event just for the cider fans! On Wednesday, July 25, from 6 to 9 p.m., you can explore the downtown of Campbell, California all while having a cider in hand! Take in what the town has to offer, including art studios and amazing restaurants, while mingling with fellow cider-lovers.  The idea behind the Cider Walk is about so much more than just drinking cider, though there will be plenty of awesome stuff to sip from South City Cider and others. The Cider Walk was developed to bring together the community and experience what the local neighborhoods and small businesses have to offer. Early-bird tickets are currently on sale, so get them while they last.  Purchase your tickets here!

Haykin Family Cider

Congratulations to Haykin Family Cider for making the list of “Top 10 Best New Bars of 2018” in Denver! It is awesome to see cideries getting the recognition they deserve! Since opening its doors in February 2018, Haykin Family Cider has been working hard to represent the true flavors of Colorado. The small-batch ciders are more carbonated than some other ciders, helping this local cidery’s sparkling wine-like cider stand apart. Sit down and enjoy a sip from their sample tasting menu in their Aurora taproom, while you mingle with friends on a Friday afternoon, celebrating the sweet victory of logging another week of work in the books.

Appalachian Ridge Artisan Hard Cider

This weekend is a big one for Appalachian Ridge Hard Cider! It is hosting grand opening celebrations all weekend long. Jam to some live music from Hunnilicious on Saturday afternoon (July 21) and Eric Congdon on Sunday afternoon (July 22). The Appalachian Chic Food Truck will be at the events, serving up some Carolina grub to the hungry crowds. Appalachian Ridge will also be releasing some new spirits, as well!

Broad Street Cider

Raise your hand if you remember this 1999 racy teen drama? It had just enough sleaze, and we all got to see Buffy the Vampire Slayer in a whole new light! (Sorry, Sarah Michelle Gellar, you will always be Buffy to me.) Broad Street Cider & Ale in New Orleans showed a free screening of the movie this past week, but don’t fret if you missed it. Broad Street Cider has a full calendar of events happening at its downtown NoLa taproom, including more free movie screenings, and even a tapping of the popular Strawberry Fields cider this Saturday, July 21. For a full list of events, check out the event calendar here.
