The Double Tap List: The Best of #Cider on Instagram (May 19–25)

It’s Friday, #ciderfriends, and Memorial Day weekend is upon us! Where has the month of May gone? The unofficial start of summer has begun, and this weekend is full of cider-related events that will not disappoint!

The arrival of Friday means we’ve got a brand-new version of The Double Tap List for you, our weekly roundup of the most notable and like-worthy cider content on Instagram. It has been another busy week in the #ciderworld with cidery openings, puppy happy hours and, as always, some badass cider.

Check out some of our favorite ‘grams from May 19 through May 25:

Portland Cider Company

Oh my gosh, who out there watched the royal wedding?! There was so much excitement and merriment from the crowd along the old, winding English streets, it almost felt as if we were among the cheering bystanders, waving as Harry and Meghan rode by in their horse-drawn carriage. Though we weren’t actually there to witness the matrimony of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, nothing was stopping us from celebrating like we were — and Portland Cider Company agrees! In honor of the special occasion, Portland Cider cracked open a delicious bottle of its Union Jack Cider, a limited-release dry cider that tastes properly English! It’s available only in 750ml bottles in the Portland Metro area, so snag yourself a bottle if you can!

Buskey Cider

What are your Memorial Day plans? I guarantee that if you have plans to head to Virginia-based Buskey Cider‘s bash this weekend, there will be nothing but goods times to be had by all! Head to Lake Anna on Saturday, May 26th, to watch pro water-skiers and water-ski fanatics rip it up in the warm, summer sunshine. Food, cider, music, water, sun and fun — who could ask for more for a three-day weekend? There will also be grand prizes being raffled off to benefit the Lake of the Woods Adaptive Watersports Foundation. The first 250 people get a stainless steel Buskey cup included in ticket price, and guess what? Dogs are allowed to this crazy fun event! Buy your tickets here before they sell out.

The donkey approves! Badass Hard Cider in Blauvelt, New York, is rough around the edges but sweet at its core, like a true New Yorker. Made with fresh New York apples, One Bad Apple is clean and refreshing. Fun Fact of the Day: Badass Hard Cider produces its product at Brotherhood Winery. For all you wine-lovers out there, you know that is the oldest winery in America. Another fun fact: Brotherhood Winery produces its own line of hard cider called True Hard Cider.
