Kurant Cider Announces Grand Opening of its Taproom in Philadelphia

Well, this is a fine way to start a Friday! We just got word that Kurant Cider is opening its taproom in Philly’s Fishtown neighborhood today, June 22, at 4 p.m.!

Back in December of 2016, Cider Culture shared the news that owner Joe Getz was making moves into Philadelphia (his cider is currently made at Free Will Brewing Co. in Perkasie, Pa., about 40 miles north of Philly). Various setbacks and bureaucratic delays held up the project nearly a year past its original projected opening date, but no matter now! Today is the day that Kurant’s Fishtown taproom is finally open for business!

Kurant’s core line of ciders, including the popular Bees and Earth, will be on draft, as well as more experimental batches that Getz will be making on site. Local craft beers and some cider-friendly snacks will also be on offer at the taproom! Keep an eye on Cider Culture for more info, but for now, send Getz some congrats via Instagram, and if you’re in the Philly area, stop by this weekend to see Kurant’s new spot and enjoy some cider!

The Kurant Cider Taproom is at 436 E. Girard Ave. in Philadelphia.
