SteamPunk Cider’s Bar Cultivar in Buffalo, NY Sets Grand Opening Date (Dec. 8)

Buffalo, NY will soon welcome a new cider-centric bar to the fold: Bar Cultivar. This project from SteamPunk Cider will be housed in the Barrel Factory in the Old First Ward, a repurposed 115-year-old industrial space shared by a number of businesses, including Lakewood Spirits and Pressure Drop Brewing. After many months of designing and building out the space, the SteamPunk team is ready to open Bar Cultivar’s doors on Sunday, December 8, when it will be open from noon to 11 p.m.

The beverage program at Bar Cultivar will primarily focus on terroir-driven ciders, with a selection of beer, wine and cider-based cocktails. Cider regions from around the world will be showcased, as well as a new line of SteamPunk heritage ciders (made by Leonard Oakes Estate Winery in Medina, NY), which, according to the company, “put the apple varieties into focus, while giving definition to our sense of place.”

Cider-friendly snacks, like local cheese and charcuterie, will also be on the menu! If you’re in the Buffalo area, stop by Bar Cultivar on Sunday, December 8 (or anytime after that date), to say hello!

Bar Cultivar is located at 65 Vandalia St. in Buffalo, NY; phone (585) 318-4418.
