The Double Tap List: The Best of #Cider on Instagram (Aug. 19–25)

It’s Friday, cider lovers! Welcome back for this week’s roundup of the most notable and like-worthy cider content on Instagram.

Instagram has been buzzing this week with snaps from around the #ciderworld, from great food to apples ready for harvesting and yes, even puppies. Oh, and we had that little event we called the solar eclipse.

Check out some of our favorites from August 19–25:

Mullers Cider House

How it possible that a bunch of pixels can make you desperately thirsty? It’s just one of the many mysteries of the internet. Something about this photo from Mullers Cider House in Rochester, New York, makes us want to shut down the computer and immediately run to the nearest bar and order an icy-cold bottle or glass of cider. #Fridayvibes

Double Shovel Cider Company

So you’re saying that there is a trail we can bike on AND enjoy a delicious beverage? Sign us up! Double Shovel Cider shows off the only map you need when visiting Anchorage, Alaska. The Spirits, Beer & Cider Trail map is a great way to enjoy the tastes of the town while staying active in the outdoors.

Jack’s Hard Cider

The only thing better than having a drink with a great view is being able to enjoy it with some food, too. Who wouldn’t want to spend their weekend relaxing at Hauser Estate (the spot in Adams County, PA, where Jack’s Hard Cider is headquartered), with that unbelievably delicious-looking plate of food? We can just taste the weekend getting closer!

Urban Tree Cidery

Not sure if you were aware, but something called the solar eclipse happened this week. Urban Tree Cidery (Atlanta’s first cidery) just wanted to remind you that some parts of our country went completely dark for several creepy, thrilling minutes. No big deal.

Waterhouse Cider Co.

It looks like someone is helping with the harvesting! Waterhouse Cider Co. spent eclipse day outside in gorgeous Sebastopol, California. Hopefully, that tennis ball didn’t get lost in the apple bin. We’re into experimental ingredients in cider, but …

Garage D’or Ciders

How much do you love this cider company’s name? It’s like French perfume fused with a grunge band. Do you know what is better than that name? Vintage Barrel Cherry Ghost cider. Ontario-based Garage D’or Ciders brings us a cider with a beautiful blend of sour cherries aged with a blend of apples in old chardonnay barrels. Delightfully vintage, kinda like Pac-Man.

Wiley Jo Farms

At the end of the day, it all comes back to the apple. Wylie Jo Farms in Oregon’s Willamette Valley grows over 40 different varieties of cider apples that can produce so many types of amazing cider. It never ceases to amaze us that one simple fruit can be so diverse!
