The Double Tap List: The Best of #Cider on Instagram (June 2-8)

Hello, #ciderfans, and Happy Friday! This week flew by, and the arrival of Friday means we’ve got a brand-new version of The Double Tap List for you, our weekly roundup of the most notable and like-worthy cider content on Instagram. What a week it has been, with festivals, birthdays and the celebration of World Cider Day.

Check out some of our favorite ‘grams from June 2 through June 8:

C Squared Ciders

Hey, cider fans in Colorado, it looks like there is a festival coming your way this Saturday, June 9th! Pressed Fest is here and it’s going to be huge! Being one of the largest cidery gatherings in the Rocky Mountain region, Pressed Fest is bringing you cider from 16+ cideries for you to sample. Obviously, C Squared Ciders will be one of the attendees, slinging their ciders for all of the guests. But you can also sample some beverages from Colorado Cider Company, the Old Mine Cider Company and many more. Pressed Fest looks to be a fun event, so get your tickets here. The festival is a Colorado Cider Guild fundraiser. All proceeds from this event will go towards further promoting craft cider throughout the state.

Fieldstone Hard Cider Co.

New cider alert! Michigan’s Field Stone Hard Cider is tapping its newest hard cider, the Strawberry Basil. Field Stone will be hosting a tapping party on Friday, June 15, for guests eager to get their hands on this summer cider. Lucky guests will be given samples, and a special food pairing — and I’m dying to know what it is! There will be a  limited number of 4-pack bottles available for sale, so be sure to get to the party first! Check out Field Stone Hard Cider’s Facebook page for more information about this event.

Mercier Orchards

Mark your calendars for August 25th for the first-ever Mercier Orchards Hard Cider and Craft Beer Festival in Blue Ridge, Georgia! There is so much happening at this event! From 12 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., guests will enjoy tastings, live music, food and so much more. There will be cornhole (my personal favorite), a gigantic beer pong table for the ultimate beer pong game and, of course, a mechanical bull! I’ll be honest, this will be the first time I’ve seen a mechanical bull at a cider and beer festival! Each ticket will provide the guest with a 12 oz. cup for sampling and two drink tokens. Guests may sample upwards of six cider vendors and five brewery vendors. Best of all, you will be able to enjoy everything on Mercier’s beautiful orchard! Get your tickets here.

TinCap Hard Cider

Happy Birthday, TinCap Cider! I love birthday parties, and this one sounds like it’s going to be a blast! This Saturday, June 9th will be chock-full of activities at the cidery’s Ohio taproom. Starting at 10 a.m., join other yogis for an hour-long cider and yoga session! It wouldn’t be a birthday party without food, so save your appetite for the Mind Your P’s and Q’s BBQ. Of course, for those wanting a great glass of cider, too, the taproom will be open from 5:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. If you’re lucky enough to attend this event, have a glass of TinCap cider for me!

Schilling Cider House

June 3rd marked World Cider Day, a day where cider-lovers everywhere rejoiced in the drink that we all love so much! Every day is Cider Day here at Cider Culture, but, each year, World Cider Day provides a platform to generate publicity for the cider industry. From the orchards to the cider makers, to the retailers and the consumers that love cider, World Cider Day is a day we can all recognize each other’s contributions to help keep this industry alive. Schilling Cider House in Portland, Oregon deserves a shout-out for this great post! So, if you’re ever in the neighborhood, stop by Schilling’s Goat Blocks Portland taproom and grab a glass of cider to celebrate.

BONUS!!

I’ll just have one lick…no one will even notice… Love this! @killian_the_corgi
