The Story Behind Gramercy Tavern’s Illustrious Aaron Burr Cider

In Wurtsboro, two hours northwest of New York City, Andy Brennan and his wife operate the Aaron Burr Cidery. They grow cider apples that differ from eating apples much in the same way that wine grapes are not table grapes. In the video above, you’ll watch as the couple forages local forests for the rare wild apples that go into the illustrious Aaron Burr Cider, made famous by the Gramercy Tavern.
