F-R-I-D-A-Y … what does that spell?! Friday! Happy Friday, #ciderfans! I’m excited the weekend is here and I am sure you are, as well. August has arrived, and it feels like the summer is flying by — but, it’s not over yet. There are still plenty of events going on in the #ciderworld to be excited about.
As always, we celebrate the end of the workweek with a brand-new version of The Double Tap List, our curated roundup of the most notable and like-worthy cider content that we’ve discovered on Instagram over the past seven days. There’s lots of fun in store for the coming days, including food truck rodeos, cider jams and puppy walks!

It’s game night tonight at Kingmakers Boardgame Parlour in Indianapolis, Indiana. Come on out between 8 and 10 p.m. to try your hand at a board game showdown with the owners of New Day Craft Mead & Hard Cider for another Beat the Owner Night. Brett and Tia, the owners of New Day, will be defending their honor in board game royalty, but if you win, you walk away with clear bragging rights and possibly some mead to try. New Day’s ciders are worthy of a shoutout, including their South Cider- a honey-infused cider with a delightfully crisp edge!

Mark your calendars for a great event coming up on Wednesday, August 8! Angry Orchard is bringing you another installment of Cider Jam with The Wolf. This month it will be hosting the West Point Band Benny Havens Band from 4–7 p.m. Enjoy a complimentary flight of Angry Orchard’s ciders, which will be given to attendees until 5:30 p.m. When not serving the United States Corps of Cadets at West Point, the ensemble is wowing audiences with their variations of rock, hip-hop and even country (I’m sold!). Downtown Drafts & Woodchuck Cider

Welcome to Pawgust everyone! I’m sorry — you haven’t heard of Pawgust? Well, let me introduce you to your new favorite Sunday event for the next month. Downtown Draft, located in Gainesville, Georgia, is partnering up with Woodchuck Cider to keep you moving this summer. Each Sunday, Downtown will host a Sunday walk, where you and your beloved pups can get out, socialize and get some much-needed exercise! Walkers will meet at the taproom at noon to wander about town for some fresh air. And, afterwards, they will be treated to a specialty “Woofchuck” cocktail made especially for these events, Woodchuck gear and, of course, a delicious treat for your furry bestie. All pups will be able to enjoy a free King of Pups ice cream, which they certainly deserve after such a long walk! How cute is this event?! Great idea, Downtown Drafts!
Bull City Ciderworks

I’ve been to rodeos before, but never a food truck rodeo! This Saturday, August 4, join Bull City Ciderworks at its Lexington, North Carolina facility for a day of food truck madness. From 1 ’til 6 p.m., attendees can enjoy all of Bull City’s newest cider releases on tap, while chowing down on scratch-made mac-and-cheese from The Whisk and Tin Food Truck, or a savory empanada from Mambo on Ruedas. Seriously, if you have not tried an empanada with cider, you are missing out! This event is family-friendly, so bring your kids and stay for the live music from the start of the event until 5 p.m. Check out all the details about this event on the Facebook event page.

I do love a good antique car show! The 13th Annual East Passyunk Car Show in Philadelphia on July 29th was a huge hit, and so was this beautiful number from Kurant Cider! Look at this farm truck! If you missed this event, no worries, because you can still check out this handsome vehicle when you make a stop at Kurant’s Fishtown cider taproom. Take a seat along the handcrafted bar as you sip on Kurant’s Arose, Kurant’s refreshing answer to your cider needs during these dog days of summer. Order up an organic 100% beef hot dog, served on bread from a local neighborhood bakery and locally grown ingredients. Delicious!
