We’ve always admired how community-minded so many craft cideries are, and we are not at all surprised to see so many of the brands we love kicking it into overdrive amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
One of the most recent bits of good news we’ve heard is about Castle Hill Cider in Virginia creating a new partnership with Blue Ridge Area Food Bank (BRAFB) to help provide meals to over 103,000 Virginians each month. In an email newsletter sent out about this initiative, Castle Hill notes, “Right now, the health and safety of our community is at the forefront of our thoughts, and more importantly, our actions.”
To this end, Castle Hill will donate $5 to BRAFB for every 6 bottles of Serendipity 2016 sold. That means that every case purchased is equivalent to a $10 donation to the food bank — that’s 40 meals for its neighbors in need.
