The Double Tap List: The Best of #Cider on Instagram (Dec. 30–Jan. 5)

Happy Friday and Happy New Year, #ciderlovers! The arrival of Friday means it’s time for a new version of The Double Tap List, our roundup of the most notable and like-worthy cider content on Instagram. The #ciderworld was full of activity this week, with plenty of highlights from 2017 plus celebrations of the year to come!

Check out some of our favorites from December 30–January 5:

Nine Pin Cider

What a year for Nine Pin Cider! From Crimson Gold to Cranberry, there was almost a new cider release every month! We hope that 2018 is an equally successful year for Nine Pin, and we are excited to hear about all of their future endeavors. Check out more of its upcoming events here.

Cider House

What a fun way to celebrate the new year! Cider House, Toronto’s premier cider destination hosted a New Year’s Eve party to “swing” in the new year! With no cover, guests could enjoy a great atmosphere, plenty of crisp hard cider and other tasty beverages as they waited for the ball to drop. For guests who needed to soak up the previous night’s indulgences, Cider House was open for brunch on New Year’s Day and, as you all know, brunch is every hangover’s best friend! #brunchislife

Bivouac Cider

Exciting things are happening in the San Diego cider community! Bivouac Cider will open its doors to the public in 2018 and the team is so excited to invite you into their new home. Bivouac’s is creating an outdoor-inspired tasting room with the goal of educating fellow cider fans and creating an atmosphere of great food and cider for the people who love to be active and creative and outdoors! How fun does that sound?! Check out more about Bivouac Cider here.

Kurant Cider

It’s not New Year’s Day in Philly without the Mummers! In true Philadelphia fashion, the fancy brigades and string bands bundled up to fight the bitter weather and pranced their way down Broad Street! Kurant Cider was there to drink in the new year with thousands of neighbors and friends. For day drinking, a few cans of Kurant Bees did the trick. If you haven’t gotten your hands on it yet, Bees is an off-dry cider sweetened with locally sourced honey that adds just a touch of sweetness. Delicious!

Banter’s Hard Cider

Some people don’t drink Champagne at midnight on New Year’s Eve: They brought something new to their celebration by picking cider — and of course we think this is a great idea! If you’re in the Poconos or Lehigh Valley area in Pennsylvania, check out Banter’s Hard Cider‘s taproom this weekend and sample its flagship cider, Overcast, which is a cloudy, semi-sweet cider (careful, though — it weighs in at 8.3% ABV!). If you are in the mood to escape the arctic blast we’re experiencing right now, Courthouse Calypso brings you closer to your tropical escape with every sip. This is a semi-sweet blend with a tart passion fruit flavor with sweet pineapple on the back end. For more about Banter’s hard cider, see here.
