It’s Friday!! This week was chock-full of great times, but we are definitely happy to see the weekend, #ciderlovers!
The arrival of Friday means it’s time for a new version of The Double Tap List, our roundup of the most notable and like-worthy cider content on Instagram. The #ciderworld was full of activity this week, with tons of partying for Mardi Gras, a lot of feels on Valentine’s Day, and plenty of love being spread in our #cider community.
Check out some of our favorite ‘grams from February 10–16:
The Cider Junction was at it again this week, with a Fat Tuesday Flight Night! I’m completely into this flight of purple, green and gold to honor one of the most celebrated days of the year, MARDI GRAS!! Guests could enjoy a sampler of four appropriately-colored ciders, including 2 Towns Ciderhouse’s Ginja Ninja (if you have never had this, you need to find it! It is so good) and 101 Ciderhouse’s Purple Monkey. As they say in New Orleans, Laissez les bon temps rouler! (Let the good times roll!)
If your significant other took you out for a drink on Valentine’s Day, which would you choose: wine, Champagne, or mint and beet cider? The correct answer is the cider because who could not be intrigued with that insane flavor combination, am I right?! OSB Ciderworks is blowing our minds with this crazy combination and we want to know your feedback on this cider. Have you tried it? If so, comment below and let us know what you thought of the concoction!
Cider Week Chicago is upon us! Join Open Outcry Brewing tonight, with their friends Stem Ciders as they celebrate the week in the Southside of Chicago! Come try some of Stem Ciders’ flagship offerings, like the Stem Raspberry, Stem Pear or Stem Crabby Neighbor, made from crab apples and Granny Smith apples. The Crabby Neighbor pairs well with a bit of spice, so be sure to order Open Outcry’s Sweet’n’Spicy wood-fired pizza. The flavors will have your mouth singing!
Mountain West Hard Cider was helping to make gift-giving just a little easier this season with Ruby Hard Cider! They promise you and your significant other will enjoy this gift. (Besides, they were giving out free doughnuts from The Big O Doughnuts, and who says no to free donuts?! No one, that’s who.) This sounds like the perfect gift to me! So, if you are making plans this weekend for an extended or belated Valentine’s Day celebration, be sure to stop by Mountain West’s Salt Lake City taproom and pick up a bottle or two of Ruby for yourself!
Valentine’s Day isn’t just all about showing love to your significant other, it is about spreading the love to our friends and community. What a way to spread some love, Bent Ladder! They have raised over $1,000 for the Wayne County Humane Society for all of our furry friends in need AND they’ve raised $1,200 for the Red Cross Hurricane relief effort. All of this could not have been done without the help and loyalty of their great customers. Cheers and well done, Bent Ladder!
“Hmm… I don’t know which to choose… SUCH an internal battle this always is. I haven’t even LOOKED at the food menu yet. Decision-making is hard. Human, decide for me, please.” So cute! Thank you, @pixiepuppyjr !
