Half Pint Ciders

Who invited Cactus Rosé to the cider party and didn’t tell ME?! How awesome does this cider look? I think this will go perfectly with a pair of shades and a canopy beach chair along the coastline of your favorite vacation spot! If you are not familiar with Half Pint Ciders, it is a cider distribution company in Southern California (learn more here)! One of the main brands it reps is 101 Cider House, an L.A.-based cider company, producing adult juice full of healthy, tasty goodness. Its sour cider is produced in small batches and methodically aged for four months, and the result is a sour, alcoholic cider that is also a certified probiotic beverage full of flavor. In short, 101 is creating a delicious and healthy cider option that you absolutely need to try!

1859 Cider Co.

Oregon’s 1859 Cider Co. was helping out a great cause this past week by hosting a Canine Happy Hour on Tuesday night. From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., guests who stopped by the Salem taproom could enjoy the company of some very special shelter dog ambassadors while sipping on some 1859 cider, with $1 from each glass of cider purchased going to benefit the Willamette Humane Society. Donations were also accepted, in the form of canned cat food, dog treats and leashes. Awesome job, 1859!

Mark your calendars for next weekend’s awesome event: the 4th Annual Cider Dayze Festival. August 25 and 26 will be a busy weekend in Armada, Michigan, full of cider, food and fun. Cider Dayze is a non-profit event hosted by Blake’s Orchard and Cider Mill. Admission includes nine drink tickets to sample some cider from Shacksbury, Virtue Cider and so many others. Who loves cornhole? That game, and other fun games, like giant Jenga and even Kan Jam, will be happening on site for guests to burn off some of the energy they build up by feasting on some grub from local food vendors, like Flying Hog BBQ. Visit the Cider Dayze Festival website for more event information and to buy your tickets. Shout out to Spicers Winery for spreading the good word.
