Save the Date: Northwest Cider Symposium (March 9 & 10, 2020)

With CiderCon 2020 and the newly-announced Northeastern Cider Conference coming up, we’re excited to share yet another new industry-driven gathering in the works: the Northwest Cider Symposium is taking place on March 9 and 10, 2020, at the Greater Tacoma Conference Center in Tacoma, Washington. This conference, billed as “an event to learn, grow, connect and celebrate our vibrant industry,” will feature all kinds of opportunities for orchardists, marketers, cidermakers and executives.

Organized by the Northwest Cider Association, the Symposium will include the first trade show specifically for northwest cidermakers with products, services and partners to help attendees grown their businesses; plenty of networking opportunities at a cider happy hour; relevant and exciting workshops; and a Founder’s Dinner celebrating the leaders of the northwest cider community.

The symposium agenda begins with an invitation-only Industry Tasting for buyers and media, followed by the Founder’s Dinner on Monday, March 9. Tuesday, March 10 is when the majority of the action is, starting with early registration and the opening session at 9 a.m. Then, there are breakout sessions and chances to visit the Trade Show all throughout the day, culminating with a cider share at 5 p.m. Breakout session topics are organized into four tracks: Executive, Making, Growing and Marketing. Registrants are welcome to attend all the sessions in one track or attend any session of particular interests. Pros from some of the most notable cider names in the region, like Aaron Sarnoff-Wood of 2 Towns Ciderhouse and Christine Walter of Bauman’s Cider, will be leading the sessions and workshops.

If you’re interested in this exciting opportunity, register now and book your rooms at Hotel Murano by February 17 to get a special discounted hotel rate (ask for the NW Cider Association rate). Visit the NW Cider Symposium website for more info!
